Hi. I’m Martín, general assignment reporter in Los Angeles for Courthouse News Service, a national political and legal news outlet. While my focus here is federal court, I also cover the 2020 election, city and county government and the environment.

For my latest reporting, follow me on Twitter.

In the past, I’ve led digital media courses at schools in LA and Chicago, my hometown. As an independent journalist and photographer, I covered social movements, international solidarity campaigns and the impacts of industrialization on the environment.

My work has appeared in Yes Magazine, Chicago Magazine, Truthout and National Public Radio among other outlets.

I have a Journalism M.A from Columbia College in Chicago and an Urban Planning B.A from University of Illinois-Chicago.
